To continuously advance the integration of the university and the hospital, and to empower high-quality development, on July 3, Secretary of the CPC Capital Medical University Committee Wang Dapin, Deputy Party Secretary Wang Hong, along with heads of relevant departments and schools, visited Affiliated Beijing Tiantan Hospital for an on-site research visit. Briefing on the Hospital's General Information

 

Yue Xiaolin, on behalf of the hospital's Party Committee, welcomed Secretary Wang Dapin and his delegation and expressed gratitude for the university's steadfast support for the hospital's development over the years. Wang Yilong presented the hospital's fundamental profile, with a focus on the national strategic blueprint for clinical neuroscience, healthcare delivery, research and innovation, workforce development, and academic education.

At the National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases, the National Center for Healthcare Quality Management in Neurological Diseases, the Artificial Intelligence Research Center for Neurological Diseases, and the Beijing Key Laboratory for Research and Development of Drugs and Medical Devices for Cerebrovascular Diseases, Wang Dapin and his delegation listened to briefings on the operation and management of the hospital's various national- and municipal-level research platforms. They inspected the daily operation of the platforms, the implementation of clinical research, the progress of key research projects, and the output of innovative achievements, gaining an in-depth understanding of the hospital's research layout and innovation advantages in the field of neurological diseases.

 

Visit to Academician Wang Zhongcheng Memorial Hall

 

Wang Dapin and his delegation made a special visit to the Memorial Hall of Academician Wang Zhongcheng, where they learned about the achievements in the development of cultural bases at the hospital and the Beijing Neurosurgical Institute, and revisited the scientific spirit and the healer's original aspiration of Academician Wang Zhongcheng, epitomized by his patient-centered care, rigorous and pragmatic approach, pioneering and innovative spirit, and selfless dedication.

 

 

Visit to the Clinical and Translational Ward for Brain-Computer Interface

 

Wang Dapin and his delegation visited the Clinical and Translational Ward for Brain-Computer Interface, with a particular focus on the clinical application of BCI technology, innovative breakthroughs in scientific research, and the progress in translating outcomes into practice. They received detailed briefings on the hospital's exploratory practices and development strategies in frontier innovation in neurology and interdisciplinary integration.

 

 

Symposium and Exchange

 

During the research visit, Li Zixiao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the hospital, reported on the development and scale of the Fifth Clinical Medical School of Capital Medical University, the construction of teaching facilities and platforms, ideological and political guidance along with student care and support, teaching reform and digital intelligence empowerment, and the outcomes of education and talent cultivation. He also exchanged views with the delegation on deepening the integration of medical education and clinical practice and improving the quality of clinical teaching.

 

Wang Dapin spoke highly of the hospital's leading position in the field of neurology nationwide, its strong capability for high-level scientific research innovation, and its high-quality medical talent cultivation. He expressed the hope that the hospital would continue to leverage the advantages of national-level high-quality research platforms, further explore its distinctive and advantageous fields in neurology, and strengthen clinical technology innovation, key research breakthroughs, and the translation and application of scientific and technological achievements.
